South Africa's Cheetah breeding programme the largest, and, most successful in the Whole of Africa. The Emdoneni Cheetah sanctuary is one of a number of Cheetah breeding programmes trying to increase their numbers and release cheetah back into the wild.

There are only about 9,000 cheetah left in the wild which are found mainly in Southern Africa.
