The KZN Croc centre is considered to be the best of it's kind in the world. The Nile crocodile is an important predator. The St Lucia Croc centre is one of the best places to see this ancient reptile which is protected here in KwaZulu Natal more than anywhere else in the world. The Centre contains displays that show the breeding, feeding, anatomy, general ecology and distribution of the African crocodile, examples of it's habitat and other aquatic creatures it shares it's home with. Open air ponds allow visitors to view and photograph crocodiles of all sizes including the Nile crocodile, the long-snouted and the dwarf. Feeding times are always a big attraction.
