Like humans all animals need to rest. To escape the african sun most rest during the hottest part of the day.

 

Even the tallest of all creatures ..the giraffe will settle down for a well earned rest, tucking it's legs underneath itself despite them being so long.
Antelope will also seek out a safe spot, whether perched high on a rocky outcrop or settled comfortably on the open grasslands.
Though they may look relaxed they're always on the alert...and will quickly jump to their feet at the slightest hint of danger.
